MODIFIED BOLTS FOR ROCKER ARM BRACKETS ENGINE 617





Since August 1984, the rocker arm brackets are fastened to the cylinder head with hex. head bolts (B), instead of the previous socket head stretch bolts (A) (Figure 1).





Production Change: August 1984

Repair Note
Only use the same version bolt on a particular engine.

Tightening Torques

Previous stretch bolt = 40 Nm

Current hex. head bolt = 45 Nm
