Oil Filling

1. Remove a/c compressor with pipeline.

A/C Compressor W/Pipeline Installed:

2. Remove pipeline (7) from a/c compressor(1) and collect cold-flowing oil coming from pipeline (7).

A/C Compressor Inverted:

3. Let oil drain from a/c compressor while holding compressor with shaft end up for approx. 10 minutes through pressure and suction ports. Rotate compressor shaft several times by hand to accelerate draining.
4. Measure quantity of oil drained.
5. If replacing a/c compressor, drain oil from new compressor as described in step 3.
6. Add the same quantity of fresh refrigerant oil as drained from removed compressor into new compressor through suction port if drained quantity of oil is less than 40cc and system has not been flushed. If drained quantity is less than 40cc or system has been flushed, then fill new compressor with 90cc of fresh oil.
7. If the a/c compressor is reconditioned, let oil drain from compressor as described in step 3. If the drained quantity of oil is more than 40cc, add the drained quantity and 30cc of oil into compressor. If the drained quantity is less than 40cc, then add 90cc of oil to compressor.
8. Install pipeline (7) to a/c compressor while checking o-ring for correct seat and coated with oil.
9. Install a/c compressor with pipeline.
