Acceleration Enrichment Test

1. Connect a test harness between the EHA and its plug, that would allow testing both voltage and amperage.
2. Unplug coolant temperature sensor wire and substitute a 2.5k Ohm resistance (to simulate 20°C).
3. Disconnect the oxygen sensor.
4. Start the engine. Idle speed should be high. Current at the EHA should be 3-9 mA (after completion of after start enrichment).
NOTE: Current at the EHA decreases with increasing altitude.
Example: At an altitude of 1000m (3280 ft) the current should be between 0-6 mA.
5. Revving the engine sharply should increase the current. If the current does not rise, perform the AIR FLOW SENSOR POSITION INDICATOR test.
6. Reconnect the oxygen and coolant temp sensors.
