SUBJECT: TRANSMISSION 722.4 REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR VALVE BODY


In case of customer complaints about harsh transmission upshift engagement on vehicles with mileage exceeding 60,000 mi. (100,000 km), the reason could be a broken spring on the respective accumulator system responsible for the shifting action.

To avoid replacing the complete valve body in such cases, replacement parts kits for accumulators B1 (1-2 shift), K1 (2-3 shift) and K2 (3-4 shift) are now available.

The valve body must be removed from the transmission for inspecting and replacing the accumulators.
