Two Needle Sweeps

NOTE: This test requires the use of a "socket box" type testing adapter.

1. With the engine off disconnect the EDS control unit. Check the resistance between sockets 5 and 6; 6 and 4; and 5 and 4 of the testing adapter. The resistances should be 25 ±2 Ohms, 25 ±2 Ohms, and 50 ±4 Ohms, respectively. If these values are not met, check for and repair any open circuits. If no open circuits are found, replace the injection pump. If the values are correct, replace the EDS control unit.
