B. Modified Electrical Connector For Windshield Wiper Motor

As of July (A) and Octcber (F) 1985 production the wire/pin arrangement of the windshield wiper motor-to-harness connector has changed.

If a modified wiper motor is installed on earlier production vehicles, the arrangement of the connector wires must also be modified.

Procedure

1. Shorten the protective tubing on the wiring harness near the connector by 2" (50 mm). Use extreme caution when cutting the tubing so as not to cut any of the wires.

2. Open connector.



3. Modify the pin location of the wires according to Figures 2 and 3 respectively.
4. Carefully close connector.

5. Insulate exposed wiring with high quality electrical tape.

6. Test function of windshield wiper.
