Auxiliary Water Pump: Service and Repair

Removal

1 Drain coolant.
2 Remove ABS control unit.







3 Loosen hose straps (64) on dual heating water valve (8) and disconnect heating water hoses.







4 Separate electric plug connection (68).
5 Remove bolts (69) and lift out auxiliary heating water pump (10) with retaining bracket (70). Then detach bracket (70) from auxiliary heating water pump.

Installation







6 Push retaining bracket (70) onto auxiliary heating water pump (10), paying attention to the vaporizer (71).







7 Screw auxiliary heating water pump (10) with retaining bracket (70) onto firewall.
8 Connect electric plug (68) and secure with push-in clamp.
9 Connect heating water hoses and secure with hose straps (64).
10 Fill in coolant and check cooling system for leaks.
11 Install ABS control unit.
12 Check function of automatic heating system.
