Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair








Air conditioning system
- discharge (recycling)
Coolant
- drain, fill
Radiator
- remove, install
Pipe (4) and hose connections (68) on condenser
- disconnect.
Clamp on pipe (4)
- disconnect.
2 pin plug connection (X64/4)
- disconnect.
Cable tie (arrow)
- open.
2 clips
- snap open and pull condenser (1) up to remove.
8 clips (arrows)
- press out.
3 clips (4) for connecting wire 2 pin plug connection (M4 x 1 and M4 x 2)
- disconnect.
Casing (2)
- remove.
4 bolts (5)
- unscrew and remove dual fan (3).
4 bolts (6)
- remove and separate dual fan.
In reverse sequence
- install. Before installing casing check operation of dual fans. Rotation toward the right as viewed from the front. Coat attachment threads with refrigeration oil.
Receiver dehydrator
- replace.
Air conditioning system
- evacuate, recharge, check function, check for leaks. Testing and Inspection and Procedures During testing, do not run engine above idle in the first 4 minutes.

Note: If the condenser is not to be reinstalled immediately then blow nitrogen through it. Then seal the connections with plugs. When replacing the condenser, fill 20 cm3 refrigeration oil into the condenser.

Tightening Torques:
Pipe connection (4) to condenser
- 29-37 Nm
Hose connection (68) to condenser
- 15-18 Nm

Technical Data:
Current consumption in 2nd stage at 13V battery voltage
- 25 amperes
