Heater Core: Service and Repair

Removal
1 Remove heater box Service and Repair







2 Unscrew screws on air intake of heater box.







3 Force clamps from parting face of heater box.

4 Force connecting linkage from righthand defroster flap.







5 Force connecting linkage from left hand defroster flap.







6 Push back lock on lefthand defroster flap while simultaneously pulling off lever for connecting linkage.







7 Pull off gasket on connection of defroster nozzle left and right.







8 Push off connecting linkage of mixed air flaps on levers left and right.







9 Force ball heads on connecting lever to mixed air flaps left and right out of hall socket.
10 Disassemble heater box at parting face.







11 Remove mixed air flaps.







12 Unscrew screws on holding frame of heat exchanger.







13 Remove holding frame.







14 Remove heat exchanger from heater box.

Installation
For installation proceed vice versa.
