As of June 1990 production, polyurethane adhesive is used for the installation of windshields (previously butyl).

In case of repair, the windshield must be installed with the same type of adhesive used originally.

Distinctive characteristic

Use the butyl adhesive repair kit if a butyl cord with copper wires is visible at the lower left-hand corner of the windshield (arrows, Figure 1).

Use the polyurethane adhesive repair kit, if a butyl cord is not present.
