6. Returning Used Batteries For Recycling

MBNA, in cooperation with GNB Incorporated, has developed a Spent Battery Recycling Program (SBRP) which allows authorized M-B dealers and MBNA facilities to dispose of used automotive batteries in an environmentally responsible manner.

Lead, plastic and battery acid can all be recycled. GNB uses their distribution network to collect spent batteries, and their smelting facilities to recycle the raw materials.

The Spent Battery Recycling Program was introduced in October 1992. For details about the program, please refer to Parts Information # 1136.
