Steering Angle Sensor: Description and Operation

The steering angle sensor consists of a base plate with 72 magnets, two Hall effect sensors and a micro-computer. One of the magnets has a stronger magnetic field which the micro-computer uses to recognize the steering center position, as well as right and left steering rotation. The steering angle sensor sends a steering wheel position signal to the ADS control unit.
