Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

Heater box (2)
remove. Service and Repair

Heat exchanger (22)
remove (steps 1 - 3).

Cover (27)
remove, install (steps 4 and 5).

Evaporator (30)
remove, install (steps 6 to 8).


Removing and Installing evaporator





1 Unclip clips (arrow).
2 Unscrew bolts (24).
3 Withdraw heat exchanger (22) upwards.






4 Remove cover (27) by slackening 6 screws and 9 dips.






5 Press out both dips (arrows).






6 Withdraw evaporator (30) upwards.
7 Clean the inside of evaporator housing.
8 Insert evaporator into evaporator housing. The remaining parts are assembled in the reverse order.
