SUBJECT: BECKER CD PLAYER STUCK CD MAGAZINE

A CD magazine that will not eject can usually be ejected by preforming a "Reset". If a stuck CD magazine cannot be ejected by performing a "Reset" procedure you must release the locking pin according to the procedure described on the following page.

"Reset" procedure

1. Disconnect power supply connector from CD changer.

2. While holding the magazine eject button on the CD changer, reconnect the power supply. The magazine should eject.

3. With magazine removed, wait approximately 15 seconds, then disconnect and again reconnect the power supply (without holding any buttons).

Locking Pin Release:

1. Insert a 5" long plastic strip (e.g., special tool card) beneath the CD magazine as shown in Figure 1. Avoid the guide slot (Figure 2) by keeping the card approximately 3/4" from the left side of the magazine.

2. Slip card into player to release locking pin from locking hole (Figure 2). The magazine can now be gently pulled out of the player.

3. Any CD's remaining in the player can be removed by inserting the empty magazine into the player with all but one of the blue tabs moved towards the guide slots and then performing a "Reset".
