Steering Wheel Lock - Increased Play

MODIFIED STEERING WHEEL LOCK

As of March 1993, a modified steering wheel lock has been phased into production for models 129 and 140. This lock provides improved anti-theft protection.

The modified steering lock (B) has only one locking pin (arrow, Figure 1). When the steering wheel is in the locked position, the steering wheel can be turned approx. 90 mm as measured at the steering wheel circumference. This results in a larger amount of steering wheel play when in the locked position.

The modified steering wheel lock replaces the previous version. When replacing the previous version lock with the modified lock, it is important to inform the customer about the increase in steering wheel play when in the locked position.
