MODEL 140.134 (300 SD) SUBSEQUENT INSTALLATION OF FRONT AXLE VIBRATION DAMPERS


The following Work Instructions describes the installation of vibration dampers on the lower front areas of the front axle spring towers. Installation is identical for the left and right sides except where indicated. Depending on the subject vehicle's chassis end number and the installation performed at the VPC (if any), the entire assembly (bracket and damper) may need to be installed, or the bracket for the vibration damper may already be riveted to or welded on the spring tower. See Service Information MBNA 33/2 (June 1992) for production phase-in information. If the brackets are already installed, proceed to step 7 of this Work Instructions.
