MODEL 124.036 (ENGINE 119.974) ROUTING OF ELECTRONIC ACCELERATOR (EA)/CRUISE CONTROL (CC)/ IDLE SPEED CONTROL (ISC) ACTUATOR HARNESS








When installing the air cleaner, ensure that the electronic accelerator, "Cruise control/idle speed control actuator harness (1, Figure 1) is not damaged. The harness must be routed as shown, under the formed hoses for crankcase ventilation (3 and 4, Figure 1) and through the hinged grommet (5, Figure 1), and hole (1, Figure 3).



If the cable routing deviates from this, follow the procedure described below.





1. The harness (1, Figure 1) as well as the mounting clamp (2, Figure 1) must be installed as depicted in Figure 1.



Note:
The white mark (arrow, Figure 1) must be positioned inside the mounting clamp (2, Figure 1). In this case, the familiar mark on the circumference of the harness is replaced with a white rectangle.





On vehicles up to engine end number 001910, replace formed hoses for crankcase ventilation (3 and 4, Figure 2) and route according to layout shown in Figure 2.









2. Route all electrical harnesses (1, 6, 7, Figure 1) as well as the engine coolant return line for the heater (8, Figure 1) through holes (6, 7, 1, 8, Figure 3) in the hinged grommet (5, Figure 3). Reconnect hinged grommet by pressing together.

Caution!
All lines running through the hinged grommet must be positioned in the correct holes (Figure 3).
