Flow of Diagnosis
Flow Of Diagnosis:
1. Verify customer complaint by getting a detailed description from customer. Road test and perform vehicle inspection i.e. connections, wheel nut torque, fluid levels, leaks, fuses and brake hardware.
2. Check TSB's for updated test procedures, warranty information and recalls.
3. Refer to this section in TESTING PROCEDURES if special test equipment is not available. NOTE: These tests are limited to only specific areas of the ABS/ASR system.
4. Special test equipment is available for system testing. Refer to PRECONDITIONS and REQUIRED TEST EQUIPMENT under specific system (ABS/ASR ELECTRONIC/ELECTRICAL, HYDRAULIC, ELECTRONIC ACCELERATION and CRUISE CONTROL) for description and hookup procedures.
5. Start testing here. This test will check the integrity of the entire electrical system and prompt the user to test the other systems. The FUNCTIONAL TEST will check if the system is operating properly. See COMPLAINT TROUBLESHOOTING in each system section for a specific malfunction or if a particular system is suspected.
