Upshifts In Upper Speed Range Only

CAUSE/REMEDY:
1. Check control pressure cable and adjust if necessary (if required, disconnect control pressure cable and conduct road test).
2. Check position and function of shift selector "B" switch (V8, V12 equipped vehicles).
3. Remove kickdown solenoid valve and check needle valve for contamination and freedom of movement.
4. Check governor pressure; if it varies from specified value, dean or replace centrifugal governor.
5. Check freedom of movement of Control valve control pressure (45) (for illustration see Location of Components). Location of Components
