Air Cleaner Housing: Description and Operation

Air Filter:

PURPOSE
The air filter element and its housing clean the outside air before it enters the intake system. This is necessary, because the air mass sensor, cylinder walls and other engine components are sensitive to abrasive dust and dirt particles.

LOCATION
Located on driver side, center of engine compartment.
