WHEEL ALIGNMENT
Front Suspension:
Starting with September 1993 production, the shape of the rear mounting holes (arrow. Figure 1) for the front suspension lower control arms (4) has been modified. The threaded end of the production bolt (19a, Figure 2) is centered in this hole. The centering washer previously required during repair work is no longer needed.

Camber/Caster Kit:
The repair kit (19b-19d, Figure 2) required for adjusting camber or caster has been modified, but can still be used in earlier production models.

ADJUSTING CAMBER AND CASTER
The production bolt (19a, Figure 3) is centered in the contoured hole (arrow) by protrusions (arrows). The longitudinal groove in the threaded area of the adjustment bolt (19c) allows the bolt to be installed to the right or left of center. As a result, the control arm position can be adjusted 3 mm in or out. To secure the bolt in the desired position while tightening the nut, the adjusting washers (19d, Figures 2 and 3) must be placed on each end of the bolt (19c) facing the same way (Figure 2).
CAUTION!
After positioning the adjustment bolt (19c) using the adjustment washers (19d), do not turn the bolt. When tightening the nut (19b), counterhold the adjustment bolt head. Tighten nut only with weight of vehicle resting on wheels and suspension. Tightening torque: 120 Nm.
REVISED TEST AND ADJUSTMENT VALUES
Test and adjustment data previously released in the Preliminary edition of the Model Year 1994 Introduction manual are invalid. The final edition of this manual is correct.
