Dear Mercedes-Benz Owner:

We have experienced a problem with sliding roof operation on a few of the 1994 model year C-Class vehicles. The tilting bracket may jam, preventing closure, and in some instances, the roof may be scratched.

Our records indicate you are the owner of a car which may be affected.

We would like to replace the tilting bracket on your car without charge.

Please contact your authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer to schedule an appointment to have the bracket replaced which will correct the potential for this condition to occur:

replacement will take approximately 2 hours.

We suggest that the sliding roof not be operated until the new bracket is installed.
