MODELS 124, 140, 202
BONDING HEADLAMP LENS TO HOUSING

The headlamp lens must be bonded to the housing on M.Y. 1994 model 124 and 202 vehicles, and M.Y. 1992 - 1994 model 140 vehicles.

Procedure

1. Open engine hood.

2. Move pre-formed upper rubber seal aside (except model 124).

3. Apply all-purpose clear hot glue (such as Arrow AP10 or equivalent) to spots indicated in Figure 1.

Note:
Only one side needs to be glued.

4. Repeat procedure for other headlamp.

5. Reposition upper rubber seal (except model 124), and close hood only after 30 minutes, thereby allowing the glue to cure.

Warranty Claim Information

In order to perform this modification in a timely and efficient manner, no claim processing is required for bonding the headlamps. There will be no reimbursement for this specific task.

The time required to perform this procedure is covered under the time allowance for the service or maintenance work for which the vehicle is at your dealership.
