Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems: Application and ID

All 1994 - 1997 Mercedes C class vehicles are equipped with ABS as standard equipment. These vehicles may also be equipped with traction control. There are three traction control systems available, depending on model. These traction control systems are:

C220 1994: ASD, 1995-96: ETS
C230 ETS
C280 ASR
C36 ASR

ABS = Antilock Braking System
ETS = Electronic Traction System
ASR = Acceleration Slip Regulation
ASD = Automatic Locking Differential
