Triggering Logic For Driver/Front Passenger Airbags And Emergency Tensioning Retractors




In minor accidents where the protective effect of the seat belts is sufficient, only the emergency tensioning retractors are triggered when the first trigger threshold is exceeded and the buckle latch is in the seat belt buckle.

When the first trigger threshold is exceeded and the buckle latches are not in the seat belt buckles, the driver and front passenger airbags are triggered.

When the 2nd trigger threshold is exceeded the driver and front passenger airbags are triggered if the buckle latches are inserted.
