Driver door
The central locking system can always be operated when the driver door is closed. (turn key clockwise up to the stop to lock, turn anticlockwise up to the stop). When the handle in the door trim is pulled, the vehicle unlocks centrally if it was previously locked via the interior central locking switch.
Front passenger door
The central locking system can be operated from the closed or open front passenger door using the key or handle in the door trim (as in the case of the driver door).
Trunk lid
The central locking system can be operated using the key when the trunk lid is open or closed.
Unlocking:
Turn key anticlockwise as far as the stop and withdraw in the vertical position.
Locking:
Turn key clockwise as far as the stop and withdraw in the vertical position.
Additional security:
Turn key clockwise as far as the stop and withdraw in the horizontal position. The trunk lid now remains locked even when the doors are unlocked centrally.
NOTE: If the trunk lid is unlocked on a vehicle which has been locked centrally, all doors and the tank flap are also unlocked. The vehicle must be locked centrally again after closing the trunk lid.
Emergency unlocking of tank flap
If the central locking system fails, the fuel tank flap can be unlocked manually via a red emergency release knob on the tank flap actuator.

The central locking, the ATA and convenience feature can still only be operated from the outside using the infrared remote central locking.
NOTE: The trunk lid can be additionally secured by withdrawing the manual key in the horizontal position. If the vehicle is unlocked using RCL, the trunk lid remains locked mechanically.
Emergency unlocking of tank flap
If the central locking system fails, the tank flap can be unlocked manually via a red emergency release knob on the tank flap actuator.
