Cranking Engine With Starter

NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.

1. Ensure ignition switch is OFF.
2. Pull off cover (1) over connector (X26/25)
3. Pull forward with screwdriver locking clamp of connector (X26/25)
4. Unplug connector (S) of connector (X26/25)
5. Connect to pin (A1), adapter cable (2).
6. Connect to adapter cable (2) terminal (A) of compression tester.
7. Open cover at connector (X12/3)
8. Connect terminal (B) of compression tester to connector (X12/3, terminal 30).
9. Crank engine by pressing contact switch (arrow) at compression tester, in idle speed position and hand brake applied.

CAUTION: Do not crank engine at ignition/starter switch.
