Triggering Logic For Driver Airbag And Emergency Tensioning Retractors




In minor accidents where the protective effect of the seat belts is sufficient. only the emergency tensioning retractors are triggered when the first trigger threshold is exceeded and the buckle latch is in the seat belt buckle.

If the buckle latches are not inserted in the seat belt buckles the driver airbag is triggered.

When the second trigger threshold is exceeded the driver airbag is triggered if the buckle latch is inserted in the seat belt buckle.
