A. Mirror glass
Press off mirror glass (Fig. 1) with plastic wedge and disconnect plug for mirror heater.
Reinstall in opposite order.
Installation note: The mirror glass can only be installed when the drive tappets for the electric drive are retracted and aligned for acceptance of the mirror glass (Fig. 2).
B. Complete exterior mirror
Press off cover (Fig. 1) with plastic wedge and remove vapor barrier.
Disconnect electric plug (Fig. 2), unscrew screws and remove exterior mirror.
Reinstall in opposite order.
C. Housing (cover, trim panel, frame, cap)
Cover
Push exterior mirror (Fig. 1) slightly toward rear and pull off cover.
Reinstall in opposite order.
Trim panel
Cover removed (exterior mirror in driving position).
Unclip tab with screwdriver (Fig. 2) and pull off trim panel.
Reinstall in opposite order.
Frame
Cover, trim panel (Figs. 1 and 2) removed and outdoor mirror pivoted slightly toward rear.
Pull frame (Fig. 3) off.
Reinstall in opposite order.
Cap
Cover, trim panel, frame (Figs. 1, 2 and 3) removed.
Complete exterior mirror removed.
Unclip cap (Fig. 4) and remove over mirror housing.
Reinstall in opposite order.
D. Drive (mirror adjustment)
Mirror glass with complete exterior mirror removed.
Disassemble electrical plug and unscrew screw (Fig. 1).
Loosen screw (Fig. 2).
Swivel Exterior mirror (Fig. 3) together and remove drive from housing.
Reinstall in opposite order.
E. Drive (housing adjustment)
Exterior mirror removed.
Housing removed.
Disassemble electrical plug and pivot exterior mirror together.
Press Retainer (Fig. 1) off and pull out shaft.
Unscrew screws (Fig. 2).
Remove drive (Fig. 3).
Reinstall in opposite order.
