MODEL 140 WITH ONE-PIECE CENTER CONSOLE COVER
MODIFIED REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect and cover negative battery terminal.





2. Remove radio and A/C push-button control module from center console using Special Tool no. 929 589 01 05 00 (1, Figure 1).





3. Remove screw (arrow, Figure 2), lift up and remove wooden ashtray cover (4).





4. Remove frame around selector lever using Special Tool no. 115 589 03 59 00 (Figure 3).





5. Remove screws (arrows, Figure 4).





6. Pull the small tab between the rear of the selector lever block and the console cover, to release the rear console cover latch, using the self-made tool (Figure 5) or something similar.

7. Lift up console cover and disconnect plug connectors.

8. Reinstall in reverse order.
