Design/function
The body acceleration sensor (B27/4) consists of an electronic vibration module (operating on the spring mass system principle). It detects the vertical body accelerations at the front wheelhouse and module.
On a poor road surface, the engine irregular running analysis integrated in the ME-SFI control module is switched to a less sensitive setting.
