Technician Safety Information
[STOP]
Persons with heart pacemakers must not perform any work on this Ignition system.
Electronic ignition Systems operate within a dangerous power range both at the low voltage end (primary circuit) as well as at the high voltage end (ignition circuit).Because of the high voltages of electronic ignition Systems contact with live parts may be hazardous
When working on the ignition system1 for example when:
- replacing parts of the ignition Systems
- connecting engine testers
- connecting components removed for testing on test benches, switch off the ignition.
If it is necessary to switch on the ignition when performing work on the ignition System hazardous voltages exist throughout the entire ignition System.
It is not permitted to install adapters or installation sensors which have a bright metallic surface to the outside in the ignition cables.
