INSTALLATION OF CELLULAR TELEPHONE (CTEL) SYSTEM
Included in this Service Information are the Work Instructions (W.I. nos. 345A, 348 and 347) for installation of the cellular telephone (CTEL) system in model year 1996 model 129, 140, 202 and 210 vehicles.
NAM Programming Guide S-2503-M95 is valid for M.Y. 1996 model 129, 140 vehicles with Mobile CTEL (for use with core kit no. Q 6 82 0180).
NAM Programming Guide S-2503-P95 is valid for M.Y. 1996 model 129, 140 vehicles with Portable CTEL (for use with core kit no. Q 6 82 0182).
NAM Programming Guide S-2499-95B is valid for M.Y. 1996 model 202, 210 vehicles with Mobile CTEL.
One pad of each NAM Programming Guide was sent under separate cover to the dealership service managers in October 1995.
The installation of a Mercedes-Benz Cellular Telephone (CTEL) must be reported by the installing dealer through VISTA (new vehicles) or by using postcard form 5-2488-94C. For details, refer to Administrative Message no. 254 dated May 5, 1995 - filed in your Warranty Policy and Procedures Manual, section 9.

^ The transfer of a telephone system from one vehicle to another, voids the warranty.
^ Exchange stock for components listed with exchange part numbers is now available. Please use exchange stock for all warranty repairs.
