Mercedes-Benz Customer Warranty Acknowledgement
If the first retail date to the ultimate customer and the start date of the Mercedes-Benz Limited Warranty are not the same, the customer must be advised thereof and should sign the completed form Acknowledgement of The Mercedes-Benz Limited Warranty as shown.
The form was created to assist the dealership and ultimate customer in avoiding misunderstandings with regard to the vehicle warranty start date, i.e. to assure that the customer is made fully aware of the actual warranty start date. Additional copies of this form (S-2642-095) can be ordered via MB-Net.
A. Dealer Demonstration Service
When a vehicle is placed in Dealer Demonstration Service, the Acknowledgement of The Mercedes-Benz Limited Warranty form should be filled out with: Dealer Name, Dealer Code, Model and Model Year, Stock Number, V.I.N. and Warranty Start Date. Please file the completed form in the vehicle file for later use.
B. Retail Cancellation Request
If a retail cancellation request was denied by MBNA, you will be advised that the vehicle has been put into demo service. An Acknowledgement of The Mercedes-Benz Limited Warranty form with the vehicle data entered will be sent to you. Please file the received form in the vehicle file.
C. Dealer Trades
For dealer trades, the form should remain with the traded vehicle.
D. Retail Sale
Upon retail, the form should be completed by the dealership, signed by the Sales Manager and ultimate customer acknowledging that the warranty period started prior to the retail purchase date.
The white copy should be returned to MBNA Warranty Services, the yellow copy placed in the dealer vehicle file and the pink copy given to the customer.
