Connections
Seal off with blanking plate (a), part no. 140 830 01 27. Before installing a new compressor, slowly release pressure at service valve (arrow).

Oil level in refrigerant compressor
Correct. New refrigerant compressors are filled with 120 cubic cm compressor (160 cubic cm in refrigerant compressors for refrigerant R134a). (Use approved compressor oils)

O-rings
Replace if refrigerant compressor is not replaced.
Install
In the reverse sequence, noting the following points: if the refrigerant compressor is replaced owing to internal damage (e.g. blockage or damage to the valve plates), the pipe on the compressor and the expansion valve must also be replaced. It is also necessary to check the function and direction of rotation of the auxiliary fans (clockwise) via the coolant temperature sensor.

Receiver dehydrator
Replace.

Air conditioner
Evacuate and refill.

Oil level in engine and transmission
Correct.

Oil level for hydraulics
Correct.

Leaks
Check.

Air conditioner
Switch on and run engine at idle for approx. 4 minutes.
Air conditioner
Check function and check for leaks, ensuring that the air outlet temperature at the center outlets does not drop below +5 °C. Replace evaporator temperature sensor if necessary.

NOTE: Parts which have come into contact with refrigerant compressor oil for R12 or R134a may only be installed in systems operating with the same refrigerant

After completing the work: Erase fault memory in the control unit.
