Heater Control Valve: Service and Repair
Removing, installing and replacing duo valve
DANGER:
- Risk of injury to skin and eyes through scalding by hot, pressurized coolant. Risk of poisoning through swallowing coolant.
- Open cooling system only when coolant temperature is below 90 degrees C. Slowly unscrew cap and allow the excess pressure to escape. Coolant should not be poured into drinking vessels.
- Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and protective glasses.
1 Allow pressure in coolant circuit to escape
NOTE: Do this by turning cap on reservoir to notch "1".
2 Disconnect coupling (4)
3 Remove coolant hose (2)
NOTE: Catch any escaping coolant with cloths.
4 Detach rubber mount (1) from bracket
5 Push duo valve (Y21) upwards and remove coolant hoses (3)
6 Install in the reverse order.
