E. Electrical Connections - Model 140

Trunk:

1. Voltage supply (circuit 30) - red wire:





In fuse box located in right rear trunk area connect to auxiliary fuse terminal number 22 (Figure 6). Use ISO connector, part number 003 545 6828.

2. Fuse:

Insert 5 amp fuse for navigation unit in terminal number 8.

3. Ignition (circuit 15) - black wire:

Connect at same fuse box (right rear trunk) to terminal 2 (Figure 6). Use ISO connector, part number 021 545 2328.

4. Jumper wire - red:

Run red wire with two M4 ring terminals between terminals B and F (Phillips head screw M4 x 10 and lock washer needed is supplied Figure 6).

Note:
Attach to F first and then to B (B is hot).

5. Ground (circuit 31) - brown wire:

Connect to designated ground terminal W7/1 in right rear trunk area using M6 ring terminal.

6. Reverse - white wire:

Remove connector for right rear tail lights, designation E4, using a breakout connection.

Breakout Procedure:

- Remove pin # 4 from terminal using pin extractor.

- Insert white navigation system reverse wire into pin # 4 slot.

- Insert original vehicle harness wire into connector housing provided.

- Connect original wire to white reverse wire. Replace connector into tail light.

Front passenger area:

7. Speed signal - green wire:

Connect to terminal at junction box in footwell area of the front passenger side: designation X46/5, using M4 connector.
