Function
With the selector lever and program selector lever of the floor shift it is possible to adapt the automatic sequence of the shift to particular operating conditions.
Although the shift range position can be changed in the forward gears while driving, the electronic transmission control however prevents a shift at an unacceptably high engine speed.
In position < W > (winter mode) of the program selection button a lower overall gear ratio is available and therefore a lower output torque when driving forwards and reversing. This makes it possible to start off more gently and speeds in the gears are not used to the full extent.
