Test prerequisite

- No fault regarding engine misfiring (P2043, P2044,..) present
- Coolant temperature:>20° C
Test sequence

- Connect socket box (126-pin) to component N3/10 (ME-SFI [ME] control unit).
- Connect socket box (35-pin) to component N3/10 (ME-SFI [ME] control unit).
- Measure direct voltage with multimeter between socket (5.9) 9 of the 35-pole socket box tester and socket (4.35) 120 of the 126-pole socket box tester.
- Warning! Detach coupling at component A7/3 (Traction system hydraulic unit).
- Engage gear D.Drive vehicle in 5 gear at an engine speed from 925 1/min to 3500 1/min and low load on the roller dynamometer.Ease off throttle if necessary.

- Connect socket box (126-pin) to component N3/10 (ME-SFI [ME] control unit).
- Measure direct current with multimeter between socket (5.5) 5 of the 35-pole socket box tester and socket (4.35) 120 of the 126-pole socket box tester.
- Run the engine for a short time and switch off again.
- Switch on ignition.
