B. Mounting the Telephone Linear Compensator (PSE) Module





1. Locate the following (Figure 1):

^ 25-pole D-connector harness

^ 15-pole D-connector harness (if installing the VRM)

^ antenna coaxial cable from the center console

^ 4-pole antenna switch connector

^ Tele Aid/bumper antenna coaxial coupling

2. Remove the amplifier from its mounting bracket.





3. Fasten the linear compensator to the bracket with three M4 x 10 machine screws and nuts (Figure 2).

4. Connect the 25-pole V-cable connector labeled PSE to the PSE module.

5. Fasten the PSE module to the amplifier bracket with three M4 x 6 machine screws (Figure 2).

6. Connect the 14-pole green connector on the Y-cable to the linear compensator and dress the excess cable.

7. Mount the antenna switch to the amplifier bracket with two M3-1/2 x 8-mm self-tapping Torx screws (Figure 2).

8. Connect the antenna switch lead labeled Booster to the linear compensator jack labeled ANTENNA.

Note:
DO NOT reverse the coaxial cable connections.

9. Reattach the amplifier to the bracket.

10. Locate the Tele Aid/bumper antenna coupling and separate.





11. Route the two coaxial cables separated in step 10 and the antenna switch 4-pole connector to the cabin side of the fuel filler neck (Figure 3).

12. Connect the male side of the Tele Aid/bumper antenna coupling separated in step 10 to the antenna switch jack labeled ANTENNA.

13. Connect the female side of the opened coupling to the antenna switch cable labeled EMERGENCY.

14. Connect the 4-pole antenna switch connector to the antenna switch.

15. Proceed to:

^ Section D if NOT installing the optional Voice Recognition System
