Adjust Tubular Frame

Test And Adjustment Values, Trunk Lid:

Torque Specifications, Soft Top Mechanical System:

Torque Specifications, Soft Top Hydraulic System:

Torque Specifications, Trunk Lid:

1 Check adjustment of locking latch (8) in relation to catch funnel (7), adjust if necessary.

NOTE: The locking latch (8) should be centered in the lateral direction and run into the front edge of the catch funnel (7) in the longitudinal direction.

2.1 If necessary correct the longitudinal adjustment on the lock latch (8). Adjust in lateral direction on bracket (1).

NOTE: To adjust the bracket (1) it is necessary to remove the side paneling in the trunk

3 Open emergency actuation valve (N) and release pressure in hydraulic system.

4 Open trunk lid and position rectangular tube (2) on fenders in area of catches.

NOTE: Rectangular tube (2) approx. 1500 mm long

NOTE: Protect fenders from damage with tape.

Figure AR88.50-P-5100-01G (Distance "A"):

5 Measure distance (A) between rectangular tube (2) and tubular frame (1) in middle of surface on tubular frame (1).

6 Loosen screws (3) for mounting lock latch (4) on tubular frame (1).

7 Adjust tubular frame (1) in direction of arrow, check dimension (A) and tighten screws (3) [Nm] .

8 Close emergency actuation valve (N) [Nm] and build up pressure in hydraulic system by actuating Vario roof.

9 Measure distance between rectangular tubing and tubular frame again.

NOTE: If the distance is outside of the permissible tolerance adjust the hydraulic cylinder.

Adjusting hydraulic cylinder

10 0pen retaining latch (4) and pull out bolt

NOTE: An O-ring is located on the outside between the fork head and tubular frame

11 0pen counternut on hydraulic cylinder fork head and then unscrew fork head two turns

12 Refasten hydraulic cylinder on tubular frame and hydraulically lock tubular frame.

NOTE: During this procedure check whether the tubular frame catch locks properly. If not adjust fork head in small increments (1/2 turn) until it catches.

13 Check distance (A) between rectangular tube (2) and tubular frame (1) again
