Removing And Installing Oil Pump






1 Remove oil pan (10)
2 Remove oil pump drive gear (25)
- On 1st version oil pump: Unscrew oil pump drive gear and pull off oil pump (24) with oil pump chain.

NOTE: Installation: Install oil pump drive gear (25) with the bulge facing towards the oil pump (24) (arrows).


3 Unscrew and remove oil pump (24, 24a)

CAUTION:
- Installation: Clean strainer of oil pump.
- On 1st version oil pump: Pay attention to fitted sleeves (27) on the two front bolts (28).
- On 2nd version oil pump: Replace sealing ring (29).
- Fill oil pump with engine oil before installing so that it pumps oil when first started.

4 Install in the reverse order.
