Automatic Heater (HEAT)

Function
The electronically controlled heating and ventilation system of the automatic heater (HEAT) maintains the desired passenger compartment temperature at a constant level.

The heater core temperature sensor measures the air temperature at the heater core The electronic circuitry in the pushbutton control module (N18) compares this value with the desired temperature set on the temperature dials.

The electronic control regulates the heater or maintains the present setting as required.

The automatic heater can keep the selected passenger compartment temperature constant up to an outdoor temperature of approx. 15 °C.
