The mechanical key (7) can be removed from the transmitter key (A8/1) after the unlocking slider (5) is actuated. When the driver's door, the trunk lid (only model 203.0), the rear door (only model 203.2) or the [1][2]tailgate (only model 203.7) are unlocked with the mechanical key (7) only the corresponding lock is actuated mechanically.

The anti-theft alarm (ATA) (on vehicles with code (551a) anti- theft alarm (ATA)) is not disarmed.The triggered alarm can be terminated by inserting the transmitter key (A8/1) into the EIS control unit or by actuating the "Lock" transmit button (1) or the "Unlock" transmit button (2).
