Front SAM Control Module With Fuse and Relay Module, Task
The front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) performs the following tasks:
- Actuation of windshield wiper
- Windshield washer system control
- Headlamp cleaning system (HCS) control
- Controlling the exterior lights
- Fanfare horns control
- Control module box fan control
Reading in the following switches:
- Lamp switch module (S1)
- Brake fluid level switch (S11)
- Parking brake switch (S12)
- Coolant level indicator switch (S41) voltage-coded together with the
- Windshield washer system fluid level indicator switch (S42)
- Stop lamp switch (S9/1)
- ATA hood switch (S62)
- Reversing light switch (S16/2)
- Outside mirror fold-out switch (S1s3)
- Left mirror adjustment switch (S1s4)
- Right mirror adjustment switch (S1s5)
Scanning the following sensors:
- Refrigerant pressure and temperature sensor (B12/2)
- Outside temperature indicator temperature sensor (B14)
Scanning the following signals:
- Circuit 61 (the pre-exciter current is generated in the SAM by a series resistor)
- Terminal 15
- Terminal 15R
- Circuit 31b (Wiper motor cam controller)
Switching consumers via semiconductor switches:
- Exterior lights
- Lamps of the interior lighting system
- Windshield wiper water pump (M5/1)
- Tailgate washer fluid pump (M5/3) (model 203.2 only)
- Headlamp cleaning system pump (M5/2)
- Coolant circulation pump (M13)
- SEQ hydraulic pump (M46)
- Control module box blower motor (M2/2)
- Washer nozzle heating (R2/1)
- Washer nozzle hose heater (R2/11)
- Air conditioning regulating valve
Switching in the following relays:
- Terminal 15 relay (N10/1kP)
- Terminal 15R relay (N10/1kM)
- Wiper on and off relay (N10/1kQ)
- Wiper 1 and 2 relay (N10/1kL)
- Fanfare horn relay (N10/1kl)
- Terminal 87 relay, chassis (N10/kK)
- Terminal 87 relay, engine (N10/kR)
- Starter relay (N10/1kS)
The front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) is linked to the interior CAN for the purposes of data transfer.
