Camshaft adjustment of right bank of cylinders (function chain) (P0340)

Test 1: Check component Y49/2 (Right camshaft timing solenoid).

1. Check component Y49/2 (Right camshaft timing solenoid).

Test 1.1: Test actuation of component Y49/2 (Right camshaft timing solenoid).

1.1. Test actuation of component Y49/2 (Right camshaft timing solenoid).
Test prerequisite

- Coolant temperature:>80° C
Test sequence

- Switch off ignition.
- Connect socket box (35-pin) to component N3/10 (ME-SFI [ME] control unit).
- Connect socket box (126-pin) to component N3/10 (ME-SFI [ME] control unit).
- Measure direct voltage with multimeter between socket (5.9) 9 of the 35-pole socket box tester and socket (3.52) 85 of the 126-pole socket box tester.
- Engage gear D.Drive vehicle in gear 2 at an engine speed of 2000 1/min ... 2500 1/min and a load of 2500N on the roller dynamometer.
Component Y49/2 (Right camshaft timing solenoid) is actuated clocked.Status of the relevant actual values:

- Measure direct current with multimeter between socket (5.8) 8 of the 35-pole socket box tester and socket (3.52) 85 of the 126-pole socket box tester.
Warning!Perform the measurement only for a short time so that component Y49/2 (Right camshaft timing solenoid) does not overheat. (< 3 s)Specified value
