Tail Lamp Bulbs Do Not Function

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the parking/tail light bulbs in the tail lamps burning out earlier than normally expected bulb service life, perform the following correction.

Install an adapter cable with increased resistance in the tail lamp wiring harness at the tail lamp to reduce the voltage by approximately 1 volt. The adapter cable is identical for the left and right sides.

A modified wiring harness with integrated resistors will be installed in production as of approximately December 2002.
