Lighting - Left/Right Brake Lamp Brightness Difference

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that the brightness of the left and right brake lamps are different, do not replace the complete rear lamp assembly. This may be caused by a malfunctioning protective diode on the LED brake lamp circuit board. To resolve, replace the LED brake lamp carrier (Figure 1) which is available as a separate part.





1. Remove lamp carrier (Figure 2, 1). Refer to WIS document no. AR82.10-P-4906T for sedans and AR82.10-P-4906TA for station wagons.

2. Remove and replace the LED brake lamp carrier (Figure 1).

3. Reinstall lamp carrier (Figure 2, 1). Refer to WIS document no. AR82.10-P-4906T for sedans and AR82.10-P-4906TA for station wagons.
