Hands-Free Control Unit: Erroneous fault code D500

In the above model vehicles, when reading the fault codes of the Hands-Free Control Unit on SDS, IGNORE the following code:

D500 Microphone 1 has Short circuit to ground.

When ALL of the following criteria holds true:

1. Vehicle is equipped with CP part number A240 820 15 26

2. Vehicle is equipped with Hands-Free unit part numbers A211 820 30 85 and A211 820 61 85

3. The code D672 is NOT set in the Communication Platform (CTEL)

4. When using Cellular Telephone, outside party can hear the driver

5. When activating SOS, Roadside, or Info service calls, operator can hear the driver

This code can be disregarded, as it does not indicate a problem with the Hands-Free Control Unit, Communications Platform, nor the MOST ring.

If at least ONE of the criteria does NOT hold true, please investigate further.
