Communications Platform - DTC D662 Set

Communications Platform: DTC D662
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the below Diagnostic Trouble Code being set in the Communications Platform, follow the below procedure.
D662 - Control unit Telecommunications is faulty: "CTEL" transmitter and receiver unit
Step 1 - Connect SDS
Step 2 - Ensure that battery voltage is at least 12V.
Step 3 - Enter the Communications Platform menu by following the path:
1. Control units
2. Information and communication
3. Audio, video, navigation, and telematics
4. CTEL - Control unit Telecommunication
Step 4 - Select "Read out fault codes"
Step 5 - If status of DTC 662 is "Current and stored", contact EDAC for authorization of CP replacement. If status is "Stored", then proceed to Step 6.
Step 6 - Highlight DTC D662 and hit F8. Record the number listed by the "Fault counter".
Step 7 - If Fault counter is greater than 1, and the code is set again in the current test, contact EDAC for authorization of CP replacement.
Step 8 - If Fault counter is exactly 1, then:
1. Clear all fault codes.
2. Disconnect SDS.
3. Wait until CAN and MOST go to sleep.
4. Reset the CP by disconnecting the white connector (power).
5. Reconnect white power connector.
6. Connect SDS.
Step 9 - Enter the Communications Platform fault code menu by following the path:

7. Audio, video, navigation, and telematics
8. CTEL - Control unit Telecommunication
9. Fault codes
Step 10 - Select "Erase fault codes, perform self-test, and then read out fault codes"
Step 11 - If D662 is NOT set, then DO NOT replace CP. Otherwise, if D662 is set, contact EDAC for authorization of CP replacement.
